By completing a booking with The Moochy Pooch, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
- All payments are non-refundable, unless your booking is cancelled by The Moochy Pooch.
- Payment must be made in full to complete a booking.
- Bookings may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice prior to your booking time.
- The Moochy Pooch reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time for any reason.
2. CCTV & Monitoring (UK GDPR & Data Protection)
- CCTV operates across the site for the purposes of animal welfare, health and safety, security, and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
- The lawful basis for processing CCTV footage is legitimate interests, specifically to protect the welfare of dogs, ensure the safety of people and property, and investigate incidents or breaches of these terms.
- CCTV footage is not routinely or continuously monitored live during visits but may be monitored or reviewed where there is a legitimate reason.
- Recordings may be reviewed where there is a legitimate reason, including but not limited to:
- Early or late arrivals
- Failure to clean up dog waste
- Damage to property
- Concerns relating to dog welfare, handling, professional conduct, or unsafe behaviour
- CCTV recordings are stored securely and retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes listed above, after which they are automatically deleted or securely erased.
- CCTV footage will not be shared with third parties, except where required by law or where necessary to investigate incidents, insurance claims, or serious welfare or safety concerns.
- Individuals may request access to CCTV footage of themselves in accordance with UK GDPR Subject Access Request (SAR) rights. Requests must be made in writing and may require proof of identity.
- By entering and using the field, you acknowledge that CCTV is in operation and consent to being recorded in accordance with this policy.
3. Arrival, Departure & Use of the Site
- Please arrive on time only (on the hour) and not early, to allow the previous customer to leave safely.
- Do not enter the car park until the previous customer has fully left.
- If you arrive early, do not wait on the driveway in front of the gates, as this blocks access.
- You must leave the field 10 minutes before the hour at the end of your booking.
- If you arrive late, you must still leave at the scheduled end time.
4. Gates, Security & Access Codes
- You are advised to use the bungy cord to secure the main car park gate before entering. This is to prevent it swinging back onto you or your car.
- You are advised to lock yourself into the field before letting dogs out of the car.
- You are responsible for ensuring all gates are secure and dogs cannot escape.
- A gate code will be sent 1 hour prior to your booking via text and email.
- Gate codes must not be shared, except with friends or family accompanying you.
- Gate codes are changed periodically.
- If you do not receive a code, contact Emily on 07368 450206.
- The gate must be locked correctly when leaving, with the padlock secured and numbers scrambled.
5. Dog Health & Eligibility
- All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea, tick, and worming treatments.
- A maximum of 10 dogs are permitted in the field at any one time.
- Additional terms apply for XL Bully dogs and must be agreed to. Please see the XL Bully page.
6. Animal Welfare, Handling & Professional Conduct
- Dogs must be handled humanely, calmly, and safely at all times.
- Abuse, rough handling, intimidation, unsafe practices, or neglect will not be tolerated.
- Professional dog walkers must act in accordance with industry-accepted standards of care and conduct.
- The Moochy Pooch operates a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour that compromises dog welfare or human safety.
7. Authority to Act & Refusal of Access
- The Moochy Pooch reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse entry, suspend, or terminate access immediately and without refund, for any reason.
- This may include, but is not limited to, situations where:
- These Terms and Conditions are breached
- Dog welfare or safety concerns arise
- Behaviour puts people, dogs, or property at risk
8. Responsibility, Liability & Safety
- The Moochy Pooch cannot accept responsibility for any dog escaping the field through the gate or fence, regardless of defects or prior notice.
- You are responsible for your dog(s), guests, and their actions at all times.
- If your dog injures another dog or person, you are fully responsible for any resulting injury or damage.
- Vehicles, possessions, and equipment are left at your own risk.
- It is your responsibility to ensure your dog(s) are safe while using the field and any equipment. The Moochy Pooch cannot accept responsibility for injury, illness, or death suffered by dogs or people while on site.
- You are advised to ensure your dog(s) are insured.
9. Field Conditions & Natural Environment
- The field is a natural outdoor space. The ground may be uneven and may contain hidden holes beneath long grass, overhanging or fallen branches, cracks in the ground, or flooding.
- Wild plants may be present, including thorns and stinging nettles, as well as natural items such as berries, mushrooms, acorns etc.
- Birds and other wildlife may be encountered within the field.
- The field may also contain foreign or unknown objects that are not intentionally placed by The Moochy Pooch, including items dropped by birds, blown in over the fencing, thrown into the field by third parties, or left behind by previous customers.
- The Moochy Pooch cannot accept liability for any injury, loss, or damage (including to you, your dog(s), or your vehicle) arising from the natural conditions of the field or the presence of such items.
10. Damage, Cleanliness & Equipment
- Any damage to fencing, gates, car park, or equipment must be reported immediately. Damage may occur from various causes, including digging by dogs or other animals (which may create openings or breaches in the gate or fence), fallen trees or branches, or general wear and tear. If you notice any issues, please inform us immediately so we can alert other users and repair it promptly.
- You must leave the field clean and tidy.
- All dog waste must be disposed of in the bins provided.
- Dogs must not dig holes; if they do, refill them.
- Take toys and balls home; broken items may be disposed of in bins.
- Smoking is not permitted in the field.
11. Visitors & Vehicles
- A maximum of 2 vehicles is permitted in the car park at one time.
- Only friends or family accompanying you may enter the field.
- If someone attends in your place, you remain responsible for their conduct.
